Indigenously produced glass beads from Ghana, West Africa. Glass is derived from a variety of recycled sources including old beverage and medicine bottles. The process involves the old glass being ground into powder and then molded in clay forms and baked in a specialized oven. The bead making is a traditional craft of the Krobo tribe in Ghana using age old methods.
